Campus Outreach UNC
I’ve been working with Campus Outreach at the University of North Carolina since the Fall of 2007. We recently made a time line documenting some of the milestones of the campus movement. I thought I’d share this with you. It’s nice to be able to pull back every now and then so that we can see the “forrest for the trees”…
July 2007: CO Staff arrive in Chapel Hill.
August 2007: Staff only know two students: Kate Freeman & Hannah Love.
December 2007: Seven students come to the ATL New Year Conference.
February 2008: 10 girls from UNC attend CO Charleston’s Winter Retreat. Five guys from UNC go with Staff guys to Boone, NC for a weekend retreat.
June 2008: 13 Students attend the Summer Orlando Project.
August 2008: CO UNC staff move into the Duplex.
Sept 2008: CO UNC now has 15 students leaders. 30 Students show up for the 1st 104 CO UNC weekly meeting.
October 2008: CO Raleigh has it’s 1st official Retreat, “Fall Roadtrip 08″ in Myrtle Beach, SC. CO UNC brings 20 students.
December 2008: CO UNC brings 35 students to the ATL New Year’s Conference.
February 2009: CO Raleigh has it’s 2nd official retreat, “Winter Roadtrip 09″ in Asheville, NC. CO UNC brings 45 students. CO UNC has it’s most influential 104 campus meeting, 50+ students are showing up and hearing the Gospel.
*10 girls & 5 guys have come to Christ since August 2007.
2 establishing bible studies & 3 evangelistic bibles studies are going on this semester.
3 girls and 1 guys discipleship groups are taking place each week this semester.
14 students have committed to Project Believe, a student led initiative by upperclassmen to move back into the freshman dorm Hinton James next year so that they can share the Gospel with incoming freshman in the Fall of 2009.

Just want you to know that I have been and will continue to pray for you and what you guys are doing there. Keep your chin up. God has and will continue to supply your needs. I am very proud of you for your commitment and focus.

Hi Jim,
God will provide. Maybe through us depending upon amount of tax refund. We will, of course, continue at the present level. Attempting to keep grandson in college. If funds are available after that you will be first on our list. We pray for you often and will continue to do so.
