sc fingerstyle guitar conference
On Sept 26, I had the pleasure of helping out with the SC Fingerstyle Guitar Association’s 1st Annual Conference and Concert. The SCFGA is a group of musicians dedicated to all things fingerstyle guitar. For a membership fee of $45, you can get access to all the events & teaching materials provide at events for one year. They hold quarterly meetings, workshops, and concert for guitar players of all skill levels and ages to take part in. You don’t have to be a member to attend the events, but a membership pays for admission to two of the events. Bobby Floyd, Stan Kennedy, & Cooper Barr, the trifecta behind the SCFGA, are all fellas that I met while working at McFadyen Music in Florence in the early 00’s. They hired me out to be their gopher and photographer for the event on the 26th. This was my 1st chance to really put my new EF 50mm 1.8 lens to the test!
