Tommy was killed jumping his dirtbike in Pucallpa, Peru on Saturday. His wife and friend tried to revive him, but Jesus got him first.

Tommy,

I’ll miss you in the meantime bro.  I hope to see you again someday.  I’m sad that I didn’t make Peru like we talked about.  Maybe when we’re together again you can show me around?  Thanks for being the face of Jesus to me in a real time of uncertainty in my life.  You loved me when you hardly knew me.  Thanks for taking a chance and loving guys like Clyde, Donnie, and me.  Those times when we’d go running together are priceless to me.  The nights at the Imbeau’s pool house playing music and talking theology with you are the kind of sweetness of life that God throws at us.   I’ll miss hearing your voice and your straight forward honest words of encouragement.  It saddens me to know that we’ll have no more emails back and forth.  Thanks for all you taught me about God, loving others, & enjoying life.  I love ya brother…

-Jimmy

Tommy and his wife Angela have been loving and serving others in Peru with Living Water International over the past decade. Tommy helped drill fresh water wells, giving water to the thirsty Peruvians, so that he could introduce them to the Living Water. At the age of 53, he took up motocross so he could share Jesus with Peruvians who loved dirt bikes! Tommy was a 1st rate sinner who understood that he’d been ransomed from sin and death by Jesus Christ, God become man. He lived his life like one beggar telling other beggars where to find bread. His impact we will never fully know in this life…

I don’t really know you either but I am grateful for the impact that YOU had on him as well. Thank you for sharing one of your gifts at his memorial service last month. I am blessed. Will enjoy staying in contact with you through your blog.
